About Us

Project New Life is an independent, non-profit, non-conditionally religious, non-political body. Our sole mission is to promote Moldovan and Romanian children’s rights in a democratic society, increase global awareness of children and families in crisis, and to assist communities, and organisations responsible for the welfare, safety, personal development and safe harbouring of others, enhance their safety, sense of self-worth, and well-being within Eastern Europe.

Our mandate is to respect the culture, values, and philosophies of the countries we visit and work within. Our specific goal is to help foster community and national pride and to work with those communities to assist them in the development of their own cultural awareness and development.

By providing children with the essential life-tools to help build character, strength of family, encouragement and motivation, we believe they will become the engineers of change for the future within their own country.

We do not endorse or promote the concept of international adoption. It is our belief that a child should be placed within its own family lineage, whenever safely and practically possible, and we support local organisations who strive to achieve these goals.

We actively seek to identify all of the positive aspects of a local and national culture and traditions, and participate in assisting local leaders in the promotion of these cultural and familial attributes.

We support the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter: maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations, and encouraging respect for human rights, fundamental freedoms, and equal rights for all people, regardless of race, religion, gender, or national origin.

Our activities are supported by individuals and organisations who volunteer their time and services. We recognise that whilst each business has a corporate responsibility, it also has a social responsibility. All projects are independent and are reflections of a social need in a particular country. It is the responsibility of any volunteer to work directly with the registered charity within that country. We do not and cannot participate as a guardian or instrument for the transfer or holding of any funds or assets destined for a charity.
